Where I left him and what’s next

I dropped him off at Mile 80 at a slice of desert known as Scissors Crossing, about 20 miles east of Julian, CA. This was after his first ‘zero’ day, (meaning you don’t hike) taken at cousin Vienna and David’s home in Poway, CA. They fed us, housed us and we loved spending time with them.

But now it’s back to work. What’s next?

  1. Hike from Scissors to Warner Springs, CA – 2 days, 30 miles up a 3,000 ft. elevation change
  2. Warner Springs to Idyllwild, CA – 4 days, walk the desert floor and then up the mountain

The scenery really has been beautiful so here’s a few shots of Kyle’s journey along the way.
