What he eats – and other supplies

For those of you who are interested in what Kyle actually eats in more detail – then this is the post for you. If that’s boring to you, no worries, just skip this one!

Packing up boxes is pretty much how I’ll spend at least one of my days every weekend, that, or making sure I have the supplies ordered to be able to make more boxes of food. It’s a constant thing to make sure he has supplies shipped in. (how I know that will be the next post…)

Everyday he gets:

  • 2 trail mix bags
  • 4 bars
  • assorted misc. drink mixes and coffees
  • 1 main meal

Here’s what we make his main meal of the day from. It’s dehydrated food meals, and these days they are pretty sophisticated with that type of thing. We take the basic recipe and add: 1 olive oil packet, 1/2c of extra meat, 1/2c of Idahoan brand (ONLY that one…) mashed potatoes, all for extra calories.

The menu assortment includes:

  • Beef Stroganoff
  • Lasagna w/meet sause
  • Chicken Fettuccini Alfredo
  • Italian Style Pepper Steak

I also add an assortment of dehydrated veggies too for extra vitamins and nutrition. Sounds pretty lux right? Until you eat that every day mostly for months I’m thinking…but this is where we’re at for now. Then he reheats it right in the freezer strength zip lock bag, waits 20 minutes and it’s ready!

Then there is the two bags of custom trail mix:

Lastly, is everything else – his assortment of personal items, pills and vitamins, baby wipes (so, so, so very important…) and assorted drink mixes and such.

Fun life, right?

Lastly though, I have to mention that so much of this would be much harder and less fun if I didn’t have lovely momma Dora to help me. Thank you!!!
