One Extreme to Another: Big Bear to Cajon Pass

I left Kyle on Tuesday, May 1st at mile 275 in Big Bear. It had rained the night before, was 34 degrees and had been snowing earlier during breakfast. It was predicted to do more, and the only thing that was clear, was that he was going to be wet and cold.

Mission: walk from Big Bear across the mountain to Lake Arrowhead, then down into the upper desert – think like he is basically headed towards Interstate 15.

Here’s an assortment of photos and videos of his journey along the way.
